ELLIS, Karen Frances (nee PETERSON) September 14, 1934 - September 23, 2022 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma and Sister. Mom passed away at the Irene Thomas Hospice at the age of 88 after a battle with cancer. Born in New Westminster, B.C., raised in East Delta and a longtime resident of Ladner. Mom will be forever remembered by her four children and ten grandchildren. Leonard (Shannon, Daniel), Karen/David Bonneteau (Serena, Travis, Erica, Nicole), Richard/Cindy (Courtney, Melissa), Wayne/Lynne (Ashton, Cassidy) and thirteen Great Grandchildren. Also survived by her brothers, Howard Peterson (Betty) and Dennis Peterson (Joy). Predeceased by Husband, Edwin (2003), brothers, Ivan Peterson (2021) and Jack Peterson (2022). Mom worked for many years as Hostess at the Delta Town & Country Inn. She loved gardening, playing cards, casino visits, but was happiest spending time with her family. Her door was always open and the coffee on for neighbors and friends. A private family graveside service will be held at the Valley View Cemetery. A gathering for family and friends will take place at the Delta Funeral Home from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. on October 21, 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Frances Ellis to "Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation".
