It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Laurence Kitching, loving husband, father and grandfather. We love and miss you. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on January 18th at St Peter's Estonian Lutheran Church 6520 Oak St. Vancouver, BC

I was very saddened by hearing of Laurence's passing away. I was a student of his at Laurentian University in the 1970s. He was not only a good professor and a great scholar, but also a very kind man. We kept in touch for many years since and I'd like to say that he played a very important role in my continuing education and my career. Without his help my life would have not been the same. My sincere condolences to his wife Juta and the children. May he rest in peace and God bless him! Ivan Basar.
