Mary McKINNON Obituary

MCKINNON, Mary Joy (nee Falck) February 8, 1967-February 12, 2017 Mary lived the last five years of her life with courage, dignity and sunshine. She will be missed by her husband David Riddell, mother Carole Falck, sister Kathy Horsnell (John), niece Jessica and nephew Liam. After moving from Calgary, AB in 1974, Mary attended Upper Lynn Elementary and Argyle Secondary in North Vancouver. For much of her adult life, she lived in the small community of Ladner where she had many friends. Mary loved her animals, gardening with her best friend Barbie, and travelling the world with David. A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Saturday, March 18th at 11:00 am at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1110 Gladwin Drive, North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The BC Cancer Agency, 600 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver, BC Phone 604-877-6000

I went to Upper Lynn Elementary and Argyle Secondary with Mary and always loved her graceful spirit and zest for life. She was a truly kind soul and always willing to help others.

I remember Mary in high school - lovely and kind, bright and bubbly, always smiling and laughing, never a harsh word. Sending love and strength to her family and loved ones at this very sad time.

Mary was a very kind and caring person. We shared a lot of good times during our upper lynn and argyle years!!! I will never forget all our memories and we were especially close in elementary school. Mary always accepted people and was very inclusive which i will always hold close to my heart. Rest in Peace Mary and you will be missed dearly.

I have such fond memories of Mary from our Argyle high school days... unbelivably we reconnected when i moved to Ladner in the mid '90s. I am So very sorry to hear she has left us... my thoughts are with her family and friends - she will be greatly missed but never forgotten.... xo
