Nellie Bennett

Nellie Bennett, born on January 20, 1934, the third of eight children, quietly passed away on January 19, 2026, one day before her 92nd birthday.

She had a long career in banking and enjoyed talking with people. While living in Ladner, she was involved with the Ladner United Church and was part of the Martha Group. When she moved to Agassiz, BC, she continued to be an active volunteer at her independent living complex.

Nellie loved her family. When she gave you a hug, it was full on. Her strong presence and love will be missed.

She is survived by her three sons, Randy Jamieson (Kim), David Jamieson (Kelly), and Kevin Jamieson (Sherrie), as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, three brothers and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Irene Thomas Hospice for the care Nellie received during her short stay.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nellie's name to Covenant House, where she was a regular contributor for 38 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Ladner United Church on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
