MILLER, Peter Paul June 5, 1937 (Toronto) July 3, 2022 (Vancouver) It is with deep sadness that we share that Peter Miller of Tsawwassen has died following cardiac surgery. Peter was much loved, and was surrounded by his loved ones at the moment of his passing. Peter lived the bulk of his life in southern British Columbia. He was raised by Margaret and Carl in Gleneagles and Kitsilano with his brother Robert (Joyce), and then lived in Dunbar, Victoria and Beach Grove with Naomi, John and David (Meghan). He graduated from Vancouver College before heading off to study Engineering at UBC (1960) and getting an MBA from Western Ontario (1964). He met Naomi by accident in the Toronto Airport in December 1962, and they married in 1965 at St Peter's Church in New Westminster. Peter worked for many years at Eaton's in Vancouver and Victoria, then spent some time working in the receivership business in the early 80s, before immersing himself in Real Estate development and investment for forty years. The work energized him, and he shared his knowledge of the investment side of the rental market generously. Peter was driven in life by skiing - it was the single activity that focused his life. He started on Grouse Mountain in Grade 4, when he was 10 years old, and could be found on the slopes into his 80s. He loved being a member of the UBC Ski Team from 1956-60, from which many life-long friendships emerged. Peter was the President of Sales and Marketing Executives (SME) in Vancouver and Victoria, as well as President of the Delta Community Living Society. He loved people, fishing, all kinds of music, golfing with his buddies and watching the unbelievable US political scene. Peter's love of life never dimmed. He was a respected colleague, a dear friend, a beloved father, and a wonderful grandfather to Adelie and Reed. He was loved, and he will be missed by one and all. But above all, he was an extraordinary husband, and to this end the loss is inexpressible. A service will be held for Peter at Sacred Heart Parish in Delta on Friday August 5, 2022 at 10:30 am. Reception to follow at Tsawwassen Springs Golf & Country Club. All are welcome.
