Peter MOULD Obituary

MOULD, Peter Frederick
August 29th, 1939 - February 23rd, 2024

It is with great sadness and heartache that we announce the passing of Peter Frederick Mould. He passed away at the age of 84 at his home in Ladner surrounded by family. Peter passed away peacefully after the administration of MAID due to having terminal prostate cancer.

Peter was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Winnifred Mould, his spouse of 56 years, Marge Mould (December 24th, 2019), brothers-in-law Ron Hickey and Phil Podovenikoff, and sister-in-law Ilene Podovenikoff. Peter is survived by his sons Darin Mould and Jason Mould (Shannon), his brother Michael (Unice), grandson Noah, sister-in-law Kay Hickey, niece Rhonda Noviello (Peter), nephew Brian Hickey (Sylvia), and his partner Ann Stirling, and many close friends.

Peter was born in Victoria on August 29th 1939 and is the older brother of Michael. Peter's father was a mechanic and Superintendent at National Motors in Victoria for over 40 years. Peter worked at the mill while going to high school and then worked at BC Hydro after high school. While working at BC Hydro, Peter completed his CMA accounting designation. Peter's true passion was real estate and he was the Vice President of Century Group in Tsawwassen for 25 years from 1975 until 2000.

Peter played many sports growing up including baseball, golf and water skiing and helped coach Jason's baseball and soccer teams.

Peter believed in giving back to the community. He was the Chairman of the Building Committee for the construction of the Kinsmen Retirement Centre in 1975. He was a member of the Kinsmen organization for many years and many charity projects.

Peter and Marge enjoyed travelling and adventure. Marge was known as the "Time-Share Queen" as she was so successful at making trades to fabulous resorts around the world. They travelled to 77 countries during their lifetime and have many great stories and memories. In May 1964 after they were married, they sold everything and embarked on a two year trip around the world and they sailed on the brand new "P and O cruise ship Canberra" from Vancouver via the Panama Canal to London, England. In London, they bought a van and drove through Scandinavia, Europe, North Africa, Asia, Middle East and India. In India, they boarded a cruise ship that took them to Australia and they travelled and worked in Australia for 10 months. They then travelled to Asia and Japan and back to the USA and Canada.

In recent years, Peter and Ann have enjoyed many vacations to Mexico during the winter months and trips to Vancouver for the Jazz Festival and Vancouver Island. They led an active lifestyle and went hiking, biking, and walking as much as possible.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jason Kason for the excellent advice and care while Peter experienced prostate cancer for many years.

A private family and friends celebration of Peter's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Delta Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. https://dhchfoundation.ca/
