CAMERON, Robert John

Robert John Cameron, born on January 7, 1963, left this world on May 19, 2024. Known affectionately as Rob, he was a cherished son, brother, father, husband, and friend whose presence brightened the lives of all who knew him. Rob passed away surrounded by the love of his family after a brave battle with cancer.

Rob grew up in picturesque surroundings of North Vancouver. He shared his childhood with his four sisters and one brother. From an early age, he displayed a genuine warmth and generosity of spirit that endeared him to all who knew him. In adulthood, Rob found his soulmate in Janet, and together they shared a life filled with family, friends, love and laughter. Rob leaves behind his three children: Phil (Jamie), Melissa and Michael, two step children: Jason (Corrine) and Kori (Scott) and six grandchildren: Courtney, Max, Romy, Seb, Willow and Jax.

Rob found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was spending time with friends playing darts, or passionately cheering on his beloved soccer team, the Vancouver Whitecaps. It was during these moments that he connected with others, sharing laughter and camaraderie that would be treasured forever.

Rob's presence in the community was marked by his genuine kindness and friendly demeanour. Whether it was lending a helping hand to a neighbour in need or simply sharing a warm smile with a passing stranger, Rob had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and appreciated. His unwavering kindness touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will remain in our hearts.
