FEENAN, Robert John
November 21, 1944 - February 26, 2024
With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Bob, who peacefully passed away surrounded by his family, in the early hours of February 26, 2024, at the age of 79.
Survived by Sadie, his devoted wife of 56 years, Bob leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter reflected in his sons, Robert (Janelle) and Ciaran (Shandra), and their cherished grandchildren: Riley, Liam, Raichel, Kennedy, and Benjamin, along with two great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Ethan.
Bob was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he grew up as one of nine siblings. In 1973, with Sadie and his young sons by his side, Bob ventured to Canada, initially establishing roots in Richmond before discovering their forever home in Ladner.
For over three decades, Bob dedicated himself to his work as a millwright at the Carling O'Keefe and Molson Breweries. He retired in 2013 to enjoy precious moments with friends and family. Throughout his life, Bob embraced community involvement, such as coaching soccer, refereeing matches, and supporting Vancouver College. Later in life, he invested his time and energy at the Delta Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff at the Delta Hospital for their exceptional support during Bob's final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Bob Feenan's name to the Delta Hospital Community Health Foundation, ensuring Bob's spirit of generosity continues to make a difference in the lives of others.
