Robert Turner Obituary

We are very sorry to announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Turner on January 12, 24, after complications from a fall.
Bob is predeceased by his wife of 30 years Brenda Lenihan: his son's David (Julie), Mike (Cheryl), and daughter Shelly, as well as his step children Karen (Joe), Carla (Michel), Wayne (Shelley), as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bob was a builder, he worked for many years all over the province as a millwright and later a proud union organizer for the IWA (Teamsters). He was very active in the labor movement and politically in the NDP. He successfully managed campaigns for Guy Gentner and Harry Baines, who both went on to serve as MLA's representing British Columbia. He had many joys in his life, watching his grandchildren play sports, spending time on Gambier Island, volunteering, and most recently his time at the Kennedy Senior center.
Bob was a social butterfly who always brought a smile to your face with his humorous and unique sayings. Always making a friend wherever he went. He will be dearly missed.
