LAPINSKY, Ronald Joseph
Loved, Admired, Missed and Remembered
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Joseph Lapinsky on June 15th, 2024, at the age of 85. Born in Matsqui and raised throughout BC, Ron settled with his family in South Delta in 1989. He was a devoted husband to Julie and a loving father to Lexine (Michael), Lisa, Bradley, Carmel and Christopher (Christine). He was adored by his 11 grandchildren and his 7 great-grandchildren. Ron is survived by his siblings Ken (Mimi), Audrey (Mel), Dale, and Denise.
Ron spent his childhood all over the province, from Vavenby to Abbotsford, and Burnaby to Vancouver. He found his true calling working as a heavy-duty machine operator. A member of the Teamsters since 1958, Ron enjoyed a career in the construction industry that would span 45 years, most notably with Lafarge Concrete.
In his spare time, Ron enjoyed spending his time in nature, enjoying a car race or hockey game, and chatting with his neighbours. For all that knew him, they knew his passion for cars, stories, puttering with his plants and quality time with those he loved.
His family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the BC Cancer Agency in Surrey. Ron was appreciative of the exceptional care he received from the doctors and nurses. We also want to thank our many friends and family for their support over these past few months.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to BC Cancer Agency or the Reach Child and Youth Development Society in Delta. A family Celebration of Ron's life will be held at a later date.
