Sandy FARRANT Obituary

FARRANT, Sandy
November 13, 1951 - November 30, 2024

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Sandy after a brief illness. His passing was peaceful, with his devoted wife, Karen, by his side. They were married for fifty-four wonderful years.

Sandy is survived by his cherished wife, Karen, his much-loved children Kelly (Jason), and Peter (Kirsten, James, and Sean), his stepmother Verna; and his adored grandchildren, Jared and Alex, who brought him immense pride and joy.

Born in Vancouver and raised in Richmond, Sandy was a true athlete, participating in a variety of sports including baseball, soccer, curling and hunting. His love for sports never faded, and he took great pride in watching his children excel, whether it was Kelly's passion for soccer or cheering on his grandchildren as they played lacrosse and softball.

Sandy's true passion, however, was fishing, a love that he shared with many of his friends, though his favorite fishing buddy was undoubtedly his son, Peter.

As a family, we were fortunate to have many incredible moments together, from trips to Shuswap and Palm Springs, to exploring the East Coast, and even the unforgettable Sunday dinners, including the famous deep-fried turkey debacle.

Sandy was everything to us - a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. It goes without saying that he has left an irreplaceable void in our lives. He will be missed beyond measure but will forever remain in our hearts.
