Oh my goodness I had no idea Shirley had passed away. My husband and I got to know her through kidney dialysis at surrey memorial hospital a few years back.
She was a wonderful lady and I'm in shock of her passing. She will be sadly missed.
RIP SHIRLEY XOXO

Deep condolences to the entire family my heart to yours. From reading about Shirley and from the stories Jimmie has shared about her, it's clear that she was a beautiful human and kind soul. May she rest in Eternal Peace.

Shirley's passing is a great loss to us all. She was an extraordinary person: caring intelligent and above all, gentle. In her final days, she frequently texted me to tell me things that indicated that her astuteness still remained. Her mind was so sharp that I was unaware of just how close to passing she was.
She was always a sympathetic listener, showing genuine concern for others. Throughout the childhood of Stephen, who is my son and her nephew, she sent him his prized Lego gifts, his favourite toy.
Shirley's scope of interests were very broad. She amassed a host of information on our ancestry--- something we will endeavour to recoup.
I will miss her frequent telephone conversations. It was a rare and very special occasion to visit her in Vancouver.
She will always be with us in our fond memories, and in spirit.
