Sylvain Bouchard Obituary
Sylvain passed away suddenly but peacefully in his home on July 9, 2011. He was a familiar face in the community and will be missed by his family and many, many friends. Sylvain truly embraced life to it's full potential; he was always full of joy and excited about the possibilities of what was coming around the next corner. They say that enthusiasm is contagious - perhaps this is why the people around him were so eager to follow him on his adventures. There certainly was never a dull moment when he was around!
Sylvain was born in Quebec and spent most of his adult life in BC; making a home for himself in the Kootenays. He loved all outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing. He thrived on the beauty and natural splendor that Kaslo offered him.
Sylvain re-settled in Tsawwassen following a motorcycle accident in 2002; the move was a difficult adjustment initially but he eventually and certainly most recently, came to enjoy every day.
Sylvain is survived by his son Gabriel, Gabriel's mother Anne, his parents Dieter and Daniele, his brother Claude and his sister Jennie (Carole) as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded by his father Leon Maurice.
We cannot express enough how much Sylvain appreciated & enjoyed the friendly, cheerful atmosphere that greeted him once he moved into the Kinsman Village. He sincerely enjoyed the simple pleasure of planting flowers in his backyard and sitting back to take it all in. His time at Kinsman was definitely cut far too short.
Please join us in celebrating Sylvain's life at the Delta Funeral Home 5329 Ladner Trunk Rd, Ladner, BC on Saturday, August 13th, 2011 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Paraplegic Association (604) 324-3611 in his memory.
