Douglas Harris Obituary
(Retired from OPUC Hydro, Retired square dance caller in Florida)
Peacefully passed with his family by his side at Peterborough Hospital on Monday, May 8, 2023 in his 87th year. Doug, beloved husband of Margaret Harris (nee Nelson) for 63 years. Loving father of Catherine Lynn (Stacy Lockhart) and Christopher Nelson (Debbie). Proud grandfather and Papa of Kyle, Crystal, Danielle, Brandon and great grandfather of Tyler, Jasmine, Jacob, Alexis and the late Jake. Dear brother of Dorothy McNamara of Florida. Uncle of Alice-Marie (Jim), Heather (Steve), Rick (Janet), Donald (Nicole) and the late David. A special thank you to the staff at Rubidge Retirement Home and Extendicare Peterborough. Cremation has taken place. As for Doug's wishes, a private family service will take place. Interment Mount Lawn Cemetery. If desired, in memory of Doug, donations to the Humane Society or a Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated.Arrangements entrusted to Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 905-443-3376.
