Eric John HOWE

1940 - 2021

January 23, 1940 - June 14, 2021

Eric passed away at Lakeridge Health Centre early Monday morning, June 14th with his family by his side. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Nonie, his daughters Erica and Kathy, his sons in law Patrick and Sean, his grandchildren Liam, Seamus, Quinn and Liberty, his sisters in law Laurie and Shelagh, his brothers in law Fraser and Rick and his nieces Julie, Pat and Cindy and his nephew Jerry.
Eric was passionate about country music and played locally with many fellow musicians.
He also enjoyed many trips and dances with friends and the Forester group.
He worked at General Motors for 40 years and made many life long friends there.
Eric took great pride in his house, yard and gardens in Oshawa and was always ready to help others with yard and garden work.
He was the kindest and most thoughtful man who was a friend to all and was as honest as they come.
Our thanks go out to Doctors Ho and Azi and the Palliative Care Team at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
The family is having a private cremation at Thornton Cemetery and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Eric struggled greatly with Parkinson's disease in his late years but in spite of this, his life was truly a country road well travelled. He had hundreds of friends and memorable parties with great people and family throughout his life and that infectious smile and genuine concern for others will never be forgotten by those he touched.
Rest easy on the wings of eternal peace, you're now with your beloved brothers, Craig, Neil and Gerald, as well as your Mom and Dad.
