Evan Gillespie Obituary

Evan James Gillespie passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 25 on Oct. 25, 2021. He was an optimistic and caring person who would always put others first. He is survived and loved by his parents, Lena and Graham, grandmother, Janice, uncles, Chris and Jamie and his furry feline companion Gato. A private family funeral will be held following cremation with plans for a celebration of life event in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations to either Salvation Army Ottawa Booth Centre or SAINT Rescue and Adoption Pickering would be appreciated.

Our family loved Evan so much. He protected my daughter from bullies in high school. We loved that he took our then Boxer (Hudson) for many walks.
He came camping with us once. His Mom packed so much food for all of us that we couldn't eat it all. we all had a great time together.
While we hadn't seen him for several years, our hearts are broken. We will miss Evan so much. He was such a kind and giving young man.
