WILCOX, Hiram ""Fay"" Leroy (1929-2017) - The passing of Hiram ""Fay"" Leroy Wilcox, husband of Mary (Gowan) Wilcox of St. Stephen NB occurred on December 5, 2017 at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB. Born in Digdeguash NB on May 22, 1929, he was a son of the late Hiram Sr. and Nellie (Cooke) Wilcox. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by two sons: Daniel (Shirley) Wilcox of Lindsay ON and Dwayne (Tamara) Wilcox of Oshawa ON; one daughter: Kimberley Wilcox of Oshawa ON; grandchildren: Ashley, Noelle, Joshua, Clinton and Travis; great-grandchildren: Riley and Ethan; one brother: Carson (Bert) Cooke of St. George NB; one sister: Isabelle (Bill) Mauser of Mississauga ON; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Fay was predeceased by one daughter in infancy: Ardith Gail; and brothers: Vance and Clark. Prior to retirement, Fay worked for General Motors in Oshawa ON where he raised his family. He was a man of simple pleasures who enjoyed making quilts and spending time at the cottage in NB. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. Fay was laid to rest on Dec 9, 2017 in St. George NB. Arrangements in the care of the ST. GEORGE FUNERAL HOME (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. In Fay's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
