Krista Margit MIKKELSEN

MIKKELSEN, Krista Margit (nee Jensen) - Passed away suddenly on January 2, 2019, in her eighty-first year, surrounded by her family. Krista will be missed by her husband Erling and her children Karin (Alex) and Brian (Beth). She is the cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Bryan), Becky, Katie, Tyler and Mitchell and the adoring ""Oldemor"" to Lily and Benjamin. She will also be missed by her family in Denmark. Krista and Erling immigrated to Canada in 1957 eventually settling in Oshawa via Brampton and Blackstock. Krista was a longtime employee of Chrysler from where she retired in 2002. Krista was the consummate jack of all trades. If there was a way to fix or replicate something, she would find it. And it would be done right. Her sewing, knitting, crocheting and needlepoint were works of art. Her grandchildren will attest to her excellent culinary skills. The opportunity to learn at her side will be missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with much regret. A Celebration of Krista's life will be held at a later date.
