Lee MacMillan Obituary

"MacMillan Orchards"

Passed away at home, surrounded by love on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the age of 59 years. Beloved wife of Peter Stoddart. Loving mother of Max and Walker. Loved daughter of Molly & Warren MacMillan. Dear sister to Greg MacMillan, Mary Elisabeth Clemens (Brent) and Lynda Martin (Roy). Special daughter-in-law to Sally Stoddart (the late John). Dear sister-in-law of Jane Stoddart, Lee Lyon (the late Kevin) and David Stoddart (Sherri Hopkins). She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and many friends. Lee had an insatiable passion for food exemplified by incredible cooking skills born in the family kitchen with her Mom and Grandma. Her passion carried over into MacMillan Orchards, the family business she loved so much where she made staff and customers feel like friends and family. Her favorite part of any meal was the unfiltered conversation that spanned generations across the table whether it was at home or at her cottage on Kimberley Point; there was never a gathering that started too early, ended too late, had too many people or too much food. A mom, a sister, a daughter, a business woman, a chef, an artist, a fisherman, a gardener, a fighter and the best life partner ever. She loved to travel, she loved to see the world and with every experience would put her personal touch to them. She loved the sun, smiles and creating any reason for friends and family to get together. Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. So very sorry to hear of this terrible loss. My heart goes out to you, Molly, since I have also experienced the loss of an adult child. It doesn't seem right or fair for a parent to go on without their dear child but I know you will be strong with the support of the family and so many good friends.
