It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Malcolm (Mack) Stuart Rutherford at Lakeridge Health, Bowmanville, on January 4, 2022 in his 89th year. Survived by his beloved wife Shirley of 67 years. He will be fondly remembered by his children Glenn, Lorie and Gene (Osmond), Dean and Sharon (Junkin) and Mark and Angela (Locke). He will be sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mack was predeceased by three siblings and survived by his sister Margaret. Mack was a vibrant man, who was funny and a lover of laughing and socializing. His dedication to his OPP career was only surpassed by his love for his family. He spent many years travelling the world with his wife Shirley and spent many happy winters residing in Florida, making many special friends along the way. Mack's door was always open to family and friends for a visit and libation. We thank you for being the special man you were and for the happiness and joy that we had shared with you. Our tears are flowing and although the memories bring us comfort, it reminds us how life will never be quite the same. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you raise a glass, tell a joke and remember him with a smile.
