Paul SOBANSKI Obituary

Passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Lakeridge Health Hospital at the age of 62. Very loved son, brother and uncle. He leaves behind his parents, Ed and June Sobanski. Loving brother of David, Gary (Yvonne) and Jill (Ryan). Proud uncle of Daryl (Marilyn), Sarah, Michelle, Kyle, Trina, Shaylynn and Kaiden. Great uncle of Evelyn and Sophia. Dear nephew of Mike Kuzyk and Helen Morton. Predeceased by his brother Eddie Sobanski. He will be sadly missed by his cousins, extended family and friends. A special thank you to all the staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa and the staff at The Carriage House, 4th floor, for all their extraordinary care and compassion during his time there. Paul, also known as "Paully", was a happy, kind and loving person. His compassion for life and his family was incredible and his appreciation for others never went unnoticed. He enjoyed travelling, dancing and music, especially when he had jam sessions with his brothers. Paul attended the PPC Dowty Community Centre for over 40 years until his health declined. He was a true joy to everyone who had the opportunity of knowing him and will be greatly missed by all. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 21 Garrard Road in Whitby ON. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Parish, 91 Ribblesdale Dr, Whitby ON. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Pickering/ Ajax/Whitby Community Living or a Charity of Your Choice would be much appreciated.

Paul was such a wonderful person. He was always in a great mood and had us all laughing daily. We miss him so very much but we are so happy and grateful for the time we spent with him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wonderful family. We are all truly blessed to have had him as part of our lives.

Paul was a wonderful friend of mine. He had a great big heart and he was so funny! I loved being his roommate and I will miss him dearly. I pray that he rests in peace.
