Surrounded by love, Phyllis passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Estate on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at the age of 98 years. Beloved wife of the late Bert Stapleton. Loving mother of Donna (Junior) Tennant and Gloria (Bruce) Osborne and predeceased by Marilyn Green and Pauline Murphy. Dear mother-in-law of Dave Green and Wayne Murphy. Much loved Nana of Corey (Godfrey), Shannon (Craig), Kyle (Jackie), Marla (Laura), Joel (Amy), Justin (Jen), Jenna, Tamara and the late Craig and Mark. Cherished GG of Jessie, Camryn, Blake, Harrison, Madison, Avery, Chelsy, Easton, Acen, Mackenzie, Anna and Gracie. Phyllis is survived by her sister in law Eileen Stapleton, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
A Celebration of Phyllis' Life will be held at TRINITY UNITED CHURCH, 116 Church Street Bowmanville on Friday, June 2nd from 6 - 8:30 p.m. Private interment will be held at Bowmanville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Durham Region Hospice, Clarington. Arrangements entrusted to NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville.
