Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at the Ajax Pickering Hospital, at age 84. Bob Nelson of Nestleton, beloved husband of Eileen (nee Varty). Loved father of Lorrie and her husband Jerome Diotte of Oshawa, Shelly and her husband Rick MacFarlane of Brooklin, Rudi and his wife Theresa of Oshawa, Linda Menon of Edmonton, Alberta, and Douglas Greenley and his wife Charity of Oyen, Alberta. Loving grandfather to his 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Elizabeth and her husband Philip Marrithew, Larry Nelson and his wife Mary, and Aubrey Hadden and his wife Rose all of New Brunswick. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews. The family of Robert Nelson will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Thursday, November 25th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. In accordance with the directives provided by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario please contact the funeral home between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. to schedule your visitation appointment. Wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone is mandatory. A Private Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert.
