William Dyson Obituary

We are sad to announce the passing of Bill Dyson, son of the late Jean and Harry Dyson. Bill leaves behind his devoted wife Karen, siblings Brenda (Rick Pitz), Jim (Holly), Brian (Terry), Steve (Karen), and Ken (Laura), his children Cheryl (Frank Littlejohn) and Bill (Ashley), and six dearly loved grandchildren Bryleigh, Lucus, Austyn, Mason, McKenna, and Ryker.
Before his well-earned retirement in Sonya, Bill was chief custodian at SA Cawker PS in Port Perry, where he was well liked by students and staff alike. Bill enjoyed many pastimes. His lifelong love of music (Neil Young!) led to many memorable nights playing drums with The Broken Eardrums. He was also exceptionally good at working with his hands; gardening, woodworking, repairing and refinishing furniture. His only futile endeavour was dutifully cheering on his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. Bill will probably be best remembered for always being ready to help friends and family with home repairs and renovations, or anything else they needed.
As per Bill's wish, no services will be held. Please just hold him in your hearts. Arrangements entrusted to Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry (905-985-7331). Donations in memory of Bill may be made to a charity important to you.

I remember Mr. Dyson at S.A. Cawker P.S. I was a lunch supervisor. The school was always so well kept when he was the custodian there. If he saw a student acting up, he would tell them to behave. If a student made a mess, he would have them clean it up under his guidance. He was a good roll model. I saw him once after he retired at Independent and he said that he was enjoying his retirement. That was good because he was always such a hard worker.
