With heavy hearts we announce that our kind and devoted father passed away suddenly on Friday, February 26, 2021. Del was born September 5, 1938 and was the son of the late Francis Karges and Delbert Graves in New Market, Ontario. He is predeceased by his sister Marilyn. Survived and sadly missed by his children Colin, Randy (Barbara) and Bambi (pre-deceased Angelo). He was adored by his 8 grandchildren: Julie, Nikki, Jason, Stephen, Devon, Tiffany, Samantha and Sabrina. Much-loved by his 8 great grandchildren: Daryn, Mia, Luca, Danica, Ryder, Riley, Alice and Enzo. He is also survived by former partners Maureen and Christine and current companion Sally Jury. Del worked at Cooke Concrete for over 40 years as an Electrician and Production Manager. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed many summers camping at the trailer as the family grew up. Later in life he loved to travel on cruise ships, enjoying buffets. After retiring he took up playing cards and loved playing Bid Euchre and Wizard. Any get together meant playing at least one game, he loved competition. He also took up cooking and baking pies and loved to host family or friends' weekly dinners. He dabbled in wood working and loved working in his garage (workshop) making unique creations. As long as we remember, they are not really gone, but live on with us, as we retell their events and memories. Visitation and Service were held this past week at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown. Memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke.
