Born in Holland, Bert immigrated to Canada at age 18. Bert lived out his dream of being a successful fruit farmer at Frootogo Orchards, Waterdown. Beloved husband of Wilhelmina (Willy) (nee Sloetjes) for 48 years. Dear father of Jacqueline Bacsek and father-in-law of Brett Bacsek. Loving Opa of Jacob and Ethan. He will be dearly missed by his family, including his brothers and sisters in Holland and in-laws in Ontario. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 3 - 5 p.m. at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated by the family.
