IN LOVING MEMORY
Mary died peacefully in her 79th year at Hamilton General Hospital, surrounded by family. Mary, beloved wife of John Watson and loving mother of daughters Susan (Brendan) Dwyer, Cheryl Watson, Diane Kennedy, Carol (Mike) Gignac and son Leslie Watson, Adoring grandmother to 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her siblings Gary (Linda) Slade, Sharon (Jim) Crockett, Rick (Brendalee) Smiley and Wendy (Sandy) Gee as well as extended family and friends. Predeceased by her mother Florence Crandall and siblings Robert (Teresa) Slade, Howard (Rose) Slade, George (Rose) Slade and sisters Ethel (Eddie) Phipps, Winnifred (Richard) Olsen and Audrey (Jim) Bowins. Mary was born on August 23, 1941 in Simcoe, Ontario. She met and married John in 1960 where they settled in Kirkwall to farm and raise a family, for the next sixty years. As an active member of Kirkwall presbyterian church she enjoyed the choir, women's missionary society and lending a helping hand within the church community. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kirkwall Presbyterian church.
