Janet Elizabeth Coady

Passed away peacefully with her children by her side at her home in Guelph on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Janet Coady, age 67 years, was the beloved mother of Todd Coady (Stacey), and Melissa Tonge (Clinton), and cherished grandmother of Isabella, Reece, Coen, Finn, and Emmett. Janet was the dear sister of Carol Ann, Mary Lou, David and Mark, and loving partner of Jean-Pierre Schoch.

Janet will be missed by her friends and colleagues at the Guelph Public Library where she worked for 30 years. Next to her family, and pride for her work at the Library, gardening (her third love) filled her soul.
Janet spent years transforming the outside environment of her homes, from bare lawns into wild botanical oases.

As many know, Janet fought a long and courageous battle with her health for many years. Her family would like to thank her colleagues and friends that kept her in their prayers, and to Dr. Shafir, as well as all of the other incredible and devoted team of nurses and caregivers that supported her over the years, especially during these unprecedented times.

Private cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Janet's life to be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, consider planting a flower in your garden in her memory, or donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
