John was a Lourdes high school football teammate of mine and a cherished friend for over 30 years.
I would like the world to know that John talked with great love and admiration for his deceased father Dr. Murray . John also spent many years at his mothers side who he cared deeply for , he once told me that he never wanted his mom to feel alone so he stayed with her until the end . John also had a love for his sisters Judy and Kelly and spoke highly of them often .
In our younger days John would talk about his sister Kelly with great love and admiration he spoke of her many achievements and how proud he was of her .
John was a good man with a booming voice and an extremely soft heart . He loved his family and friends and enjoyed watching sports especially football and hockey. He would often reminisce of spending time watching boxing matches with his dad in Las Vegas and of Christmases with his whole family and the Leblanc’s who were like family those were memories that he held dearly.
John finally met a partner (Janet ) about 18 years ago and he was truly in love . I was unable to attend John’s funeral service and it hurt not being there to say goodbye so I’m saying it tonight “Goodbye John my friend, I will miss talking about our Montreal Canadians ,
I will miss your booming voice but not that numbing back slap lol .
I know god will embrace you and welcome you into his kingdom because you were a good man that had trouble understanding how people could be so cruel to one another , that’s no longer your concern , that’s an earthly problem. Sorest your weary mind and dance with the angels.
So long my friend rest until we meet again.
