John VAN MILLIGEN

Passed away peacefully on February 18, 2021 at the age of 85, with his wife Ann (deVries) and family by his side. John was the loving father of Ken (Bev), Mike (Jill), Connie (Neil), Brian (Heather), Tom (Tarra) and a devoted grandfather to Danielle, Matthew, Tyler, Spencer, Brett, Austin, Jordan, Marshall, Casey, Cortney, Ann-Lea, Hailey, Sandy, Logan, Jack, Leah, Rachael, Andrew, Isabella, Joshua, and Sophia. He was proud of his continuously growing family, including his seven great-grandsons. John will be greatly missed by the deVries family and many friends and family in Canada and Holland. John immigrated from the Netherlands in 1955 at the age of 19 and made the Guelph area his home. In the early years in Canada, he met Ann and they were married for close to 60 years. John's greatest accomplishment was his family and he truly cherished these connections right until the end. John worked as a carpenter and was a well-respected homebuilder. Through his work he made many lifelong friends. The family would like to thank Bonita Scott and the Bayshore Nurses along with Dr. Ruddock for their compassionate care.
