Sorry to have missed meeting and knowing him. His eulogy tells what an accomplished and respected human being he was. His life was full of family and accolades. Thanking him for contacting me and introducing me to my ancestry possibilities.

My memories of Murray date back to the times of family gatherings at my family home on Glenwood Crescent in Toronto. My parents Dorothy and Eric were so very fond of the Miller couple and always spoke highly of Murray. I only heard the sad news today through another cousin and felt so saddened by the news. I had called Murray about a year ago and had a good chat at that time and made a point to drop in on brother Don and Dee at the farm on McCowan, not too far from my home in Scarborough. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and find some peace in knowing that
"MEMORIES LIVE FOREVER" and the memories of Murray Miller are simply wonderful!

I am so sad to hear of Murray´s passing; my heartfelt condolences to Joan & all their family. I was fortunate to have Murray as my PhD advisor. He was a supportive, encouraging and generous mentor to all of us in his lab. I have very fond memories of our regular research update meetings over tea: while our discussions started with the research findings, we would talk about a wide range of topics, reflecting Murray's diverse interests. Murray´s mentorship has shaped everything I have done since and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work with him.

My condolences to Murrays family and friends. Murray was one of the most influential persons in my life. I learnt so much from him in the 3.5 years of my Ph D and I am sure this was the case for his numerous students. I am very thankful and regret I did not get to say goodbye in person. I hope I have the chance to pass on to many students and people around me what I treasure most of my learning from him: clear thinking leads to clear doing. And that holds for everything in life. I am so sad...

Over the years at Black Lake we had numerous conversations with Murray. Our son Stephen had the pleasure of helping Murray with odd jobs over the summer at the cottage. He was a great and kind soul. Please accept our condolences.
