Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on June 11, 2022 at the age of 81, leaving behind his beloved wife of 42 years, Norma. Loving stepfather of Marty (Judy), Sandra and Patrick (Renee) Leger. Peter had three grandchildren; Courtney (Brett), Garrett and Alexandra and a great-grandson Sebastian. He is survived by his sister Penny and is predeceased by his parents George and Emma and younger brother John. We would like to thank Dr. Goal, Dr. Harvey, Dr. Parikh, Dr. Parent, Dr.
Burke, nurses and support staff from the Guelph General Hospital's ER, 7E, 5E & 4W. We would also like to thank Hospice Wellington and all their staff for everything they did to make Peter comfortable during his short stay. Peter and Norma moved from Montreal to Guelph in 1979 and travelled back to visit family and friends yearly until 2019. They were very curious and passionate about their heritage and genealogy and collected and created family trees for themselves and shared their findings with other family members that were also curious. He was also involved with the Royal City Square Dancing Club for over 20 years, Horseshoe Square 'N' Wheels for almost 10 years and finally Taoist Tai Chi for the last number of years before Covid. Peter will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Hospice Wellington in Guelph. Donations can be made by cash or cheque at the funeral home or online following the link below his obituary at
