Lyla Carver Brown Obituary

LYLA J. BROWN nee' Carver passed away February 4, 2021 at the age of 88.

Lyla was born in Arborfield, Saskatchewan Canada, to William and Margaret Carver at the Carver Farm. Lyla was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Arthur (Joyce) Carver, Kathleen (Wilmer) Glauser, Vernon Crawford Carver, Cecil Howard (Lillian) Carver, Wilma Caroline (Bill) McKim, Marguerite (Carl) Perrin, Gerald (Claudette) Carver. Lyla is survived by her younger brother, Stanley (Sietske) Carver of Calgary, AB., her children, John (Melinda) Brown, Darlene (Russell) Johnson, Laurie (Mark) Weeks, H. Kenneth (Lisa) Brown Jr, and Margaret Brown, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Lyla also leaves behind her dear friend Richard Woods.

Lyla moved to Seattle, WA in 1956. Later she moved to Renton, then to Lake Sawyer in Black Diamond WA. Lyla loved living on the lake and operated Lyla's Family Hair Care there.

Lyla loved to bowl, was active on Auburn Senior Softball team, an avid Seahawks and Mariners fan, and enjoyed the Casino. Lyla liked to keep busy!

Lyla was past President of Black Diamond Eagles, Ladies Auxiliary. Lyla was 2002 Black Diamond Citizen of the Year and Grand Marshall for the 2003 Black Diamond Labor Day Parade. She was involved fundraising for Juvenile Diabetes, Guide Dogs for the Blind, etc. Lyla was a member of Covington Lions Club.
