Wendy Ivarson Obituary

In Loving Memory of Wendy Anne Ivarson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wendy Anne Ivarson. A beloved mother, sister and friend, who left us on April 26, 2024, after a sudden and brief battle with cancer. Born on February 23, 1963, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, Wendy's journey was a testament to resilience and selflessness.

Her surviving children, Jessie and Chelsea Ivarson, were her pride and joy, giving her strength during rough times and laughter and joy all of the time. Her legacy of perseverance continues to inspire her daughters.

Her parents, Marcellus and Magdalen Lueke, who preceded her in death, whose guidance and love laid the foundation for the remarkable woman Wendy became. She was the youngest of 5 children: Myron (Sandy) Lueke, Gary (Carol) Lueke, Sandra McKenna, and Patrick (Colleen) Lueke, who will never forget the light she brought to their lives.

In 1991, Wendy embarked on a new chapter in Kelowna, where she planted roots until her final breath. Her presence was a beacon of dedication, kindness and love, touching the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Wendy was a woman of quiet strength, possessing a determination that knew no bounds. Her gentle spirit was complemented by an indomitable will, an unwavering strength and an undeniable ability to stand firm in her convictions. Her soft-spoken nature belied a relentless pertinacity and steadfast resolve, characteristics that defined her throughout her life where even in her final days she remained a fierce fighter.

Her impact on others was profound and she will be deeply missed and forever remembered. She leaves behind a legacy of love and courage. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
