It is with sadness that the family of Tracey Elizabeth (nee Kitzul) Mulrooney announces that she passed away on March 11, 2017, at the Red Deer Hospice after a valiant fight against cancer at the age of 45 years.
Born in Calgary, Tracey moved with the family to a farm west of Innisfail at a very young age. Hobbies in her youth included horseback riding, camping, trail-riding, 4-H, candy-striping, tubing down the river, and helping on the family farm. She attended elementary and secondary schools in Innisfail, graduating with honours in 1989. After attending Red Deer College to pursue business, she embarked on distinguished careers locally in both the insurance and banking sectors. While employed with Co-operators Insurance and Servus Credit Union, Tracey earned in each field a variety of credentials, awards, and recognitions of service excellence. She became a mother with the birth of Brandon in 1995, followed by Logan in 1999. As her children grew up, she was involved alongside them at school and in their chosen sports and activities. Many family holidays were taken during the winter together in the sun. In recent years, Tracey enjoyed scuba diving, an interest she shared with her husband Darren and it took them to many beautiful destinations.
Tracey is survived by her husband, Darren Graham and his daughter (Aisling) of Red Deer. Sons Brandon Mulrooney (Cody Gauchier, and her son Caleb) and grandson Kylin of Innisfail, and Logan Mulrooney of Innisfail / Oman. Parents Zoe Kitzul and Andy Kitzul both of Innisfail. Siblings Michelle (Shannon) Mooney of Innisfail and Brian (Colette) Kitzul of Olds. Nephew and nieces Connor Mooney, Haley Mooney, Chelsea Kitzul and Charlie Kitzul. Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends. Special Cousin Shannon (Tom) Layden of Innisfail. And the father of her children, Murray Mulrooney of Oman.
Predeceased by Grandparents John & Helen (Yurchuk) Kitzul of Calgary, and Brian & Ethel (Llewellyn) Kelly of Innisfail. And by Cousin Josh Wozny of Calgary.
The family wishes to thank Tracey's doctors in Innisfail, Red Deer, and Calgary, along with the staff at the Red Deer Hospice for their excellent care. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society, Red Deer Lending Cupboard, or the Alberta Cancer Foundation. A celebration of Tracey's life will be held at a future date.
