I knew Clarence's parents Charlie and Enis. My parents would buy cream from them. The cream was so thick it had to be spooned out of the jar.
There were two Plsek families in north Grand Junction one farmed on 26.5 road and the other on 27 road.

The best "crusty" neighbour there was.. not! My husband loved to knock on the door with his special knock and ask Eleanor if Clarence could come out and play, which meant he needed help with a household job...fence, deck bathroom etc. Will miss my garden deliveries and giving Clarence a hard time. My interactions ( Pam) reminded me of my Grandfather and my relationship with him . Our condolences to Eleanor, Danielle, Carolyn, Brian and Tina along with his granddaughters. We miss his presence each day and miss his cheeky mischievous laugh typically with a glass of red wine in hand. You left us too soon!.

My memory - I was parking my husband´s car on the street outside their house trying to get closer to the curb. Not doing well, even with all the parking cameras, I could see Chick watching me, I could imagine what he was thinking. He did come to my help, I was so embarrassed , I told him that the cameras are very annoying, never understood them and didn´t like my husband´s car, too many gadgets. He just smiled at me.
