VAN WALSUM, Cor In his 90th year, Cornelis (Cor) van Walsum passed away peacefully at the Post Inn Village in Oakville on July 26, 2019. Born November 8, 1929 in the Netherlands. Moved to Canada in 1955, where he pursued his career as a Professional Engineer in the cement industry with Holderbank (HOLCIM) of Switzerland. Beloved husband of Germaine (nee Stassar) for 64 years. Dear father of Sylvia van Walsum (and her husband William Poaps). Predeceased by his son Robert. Enjoyed his travels, family events, languages, XC skiing, exercise classes, and listening to music. Memorial service to be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr Street) at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019 with reception to follow.
