Dawn Emily Cockerill -McLeod/ Marcoux -late of Elliot Lake
born September 30, 1945 in Peterborough , ON died January 10, 2023 in Elliott Lake, ON.
Predeceased by her parents John Alan Edward Cockerill and Dorothy Cockerill (Doris) Hopcroft and her siblings Jack Cockerill, Frank Cockerill, Doris LaFleur, Ray Cockerill, Annie Leeper, her nephews Bill LaFleur, John Cockerill and Ronnie Lafleur.
Survived by her older but better looking brother Alan, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and a slew of cousins. And many extended family and friends.
She spent most of her time with her best friend and neighbour Bob in a seniors building. They spent many days on the patio talking, laughing. Her early life was as the youngest of seven born in Peterborough, Ontario. She led a challenged life and relied on the help of others.
The family of Dawn will gather at Trafalger Lawn Cemetery located at 1149 Dundas St W, Oakville, ON L6M 4L8 May 27, 2023 at 2pm rain or shine to take care of Dawn's ashes where many of her family are. There will be a get together after at the Bronte Legion at 79 Jones Street Oakville Ontario L6L 3E6 at 4 pm.

I am Susie, Susan Henwood. Born 1956. Daughter of June Marion Smith. Maiden name. I remember Dawn. I was very young. I recall her visiting our house on lake Street. Mom is still alive. Born 1936. May she test in peace.
