Edward DAVIES Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Edward Davies. Ed passed away peacefully on March 30, 2022, at the Carpenter Hospice in Burlington at the age of 86.
Ed leaves behind his beloved wife Joan of 63 years, his daughters Karen Jank (Kenneth), Paula Corbett (Stephen), and Helen Davies. He had a sweet spot for his four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who affectionately called him Poppa. His grandchildren Stephanie Passador (David), Keith Corbett (Jennifer), Ryan Jank (Tiffany), and Nicholas Corbett (Leah) and his great-grandchildren Zoe, Ashton, Ava, Callan, Kennedy, Stella, and Payton will miss him dearly.

Born in Chester, England on February 24, 1936, Ed came to Canada in 1968 with his family and settled in Mississauga for many years. Ed's career in the restaurant and healthcare field was honoured with a lifetime membership into the Canadian Society of Healthcare Engineering.
Ed's passion for singing both in England and Canada lead him to 10 years as a Baritone with the Burlington Welsh Male Chorus where their performances took them throughout North America creating fond memories. His love of golf created many friendships as a member of the Millcroft Golf and Country Club.

The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Joseph Brant Hospital, Carpenter Hospice and Acclaim Health for the care and compassion during his final days.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to Carpenter Hospice or Joseph Brant Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will follow.

Ed, you were a great man who will be dearly missed by all.
