Gary Restani Obituary
Devoted husband of 52 years to Karen. Beloved father to Jeff (Sara) and Nonno to Ellie and Cole. Loved and missed by his sister Alida Tursi and mother-in-law Mitch Horricks. He leaves behind a large extended family in Canada and Italy, and innumerable deep friendships that span decades and continents.
Gary was born in Borgo val di Taro, Italy in 1946, and settled in Montreal, QC in 1952 with his family. His intelligence, charisma, and drive propelled him through a remarkable career in biotechnology before retiring in 2015. As an avid sports fan, Gary played, watched, and followed it all, especially golf. More than anything, Gary lived his life to the fullest. He loved unconditionally, laughed loudly, and hugged tightly.
Thank you to Dr. McCarthy and Dr. Park at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Dr. Ellis at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, and all the support staff for their care and compassion.
A celebration of life will be scheduled for a future date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or KidSport Ontario.

To Karen and family. Since we purchased your house in colleton River we have felt blessed and have held on to some type of connection to your family. Although we never met ,we wondered about Gary´s condition often. We just had a feeling we should check on him and discovered that he had passed. Please accept our sincere condolences. Dear Karen
I am so sorry for your loss. You and Gary were fun to be around and Diane and I enjoyed your company. In the pictures you can see how proud Gary was of Jeff and his grandchildren. Hopefully that in itself brings you smiles during this difficult time. Thinking of you and your family Allan
