Our sincere condolences to Steph and family. I just heard about the sad news upon reading Paul Mahon's editorial in the recent Ontario Farmer. I have known Glenn since 1961 when he was a summer assistant ag rep in Bruce County. He was at our home that summer quite often and took a fancy to our baby daughter who he babysat for the day while we attended a family wedding. He also visited us in Chatham where we lived for six months when I first joined Farm Credit Corporation. I believe he was working in Essex County at the time out of the Ag Rep's office. We also attended your wedding but I forget exactly where it was. We lost touch with each other for a number of years as I moved around with FCC but remember hearing him on CBC radio from time to time. In the more recent years we would see each other at an agricultural organization event and I always read his informative articles in the Ontario Farmer. We last spoke on the phone a few months ago when he called me to get Judy McBride's address in Ottawa as he had just learned that Bill McBride had passed away after being in hospital and a nursing home for several months. Glenn was a first rate guy and he will be missed in the agricultural community as he will be missed by his family.

Covid-19 restrictions mean that plans for a proper get-together to celebrate Glenn's life have had to be temporarily put on hold. But we would love if you would post written thoughts or tall tales, upload photos or videos with your memories of him at this link:

So sorry to learn of Glen's passing. Glen & I go back a long way as we were members of 4-H in Brant County prior to our time at OAC. As a team of two we were even provincial grain judging champions at the 4-h interclub competitions in Guelph in the fall of 1958. Glen will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Glenn and I covered agriculture when we worked at CBC Radio in Toronto. Glenn was a very skilled and respected National News reporter. I always admired his professionalism, journalistic ethics and writing skills. During those years, we became good friends and continued to see one another once or twice every year until now.
I recall that on one occasion, we were working in the Paris area and Glenn enthusiastically took me to the Powell family farm where I met his lovely parents. Glenn was very proud of his rural roots, as he should have been.
Looking back over time, since we first met at CBC in 1977, I can safely say that more than anything else, Glenn was a buddy, and one of the best buddies anyone could ever hope to have. I miss him already.
Glynis and I offer Steph, Jacki and Jeff our sincere condolences.

I was so sad to hear of Glen's passing. He was a wonderful person and lovely to be around. I worked with him at CBC and after his retirement we would get together with Rex Loring and Lorne Tulk from time to time at a Restaurant in Bronte. My deep condolence goes out to his Family.
