Hilda Kenzie Obituary

With broken hearts, we share the passing of Hilda on April 1, 2023. She departed holding hands with her devoted and loving husband Brian of 54 years. Beloved Daughter of Betty and Dick Mewhinney. Adored Mother of Sheryl (Fiancé Nico), Darren (Jackie) and dedicated Grandmother of Cole. Hilda will be deeply missed by her loving Sister Kathryn (Fred) and Niece Karen (Krzysztof) and Great Niece and Nephew Emily and Sebastian. May she be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends for her smile, kindness, generosity, creativity and as a lover of the arts, books and classical music. Friends and family are welcomed at Glen Oaks Funeral Home (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville) on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. A service will be held at Glen Oaks Chapel on Friday, April 14th at 1:00 p.m. Hilda loved flowers but also would have appreciated a donation in her memory to Diabetes Canada or the Kidney Foundation.

Brian and family .. It was of great sadness to hear of Hilda's passing .. she worked for us at Sears Indoor Clean Air Services in Burlington .. many moons ago.. Hilda was a dedicated employee and with that came a wonderful sense of humor .. alot of memories were made in that room .. way too many to mention .. although what does stick out is her daily stories of her Brian and his big mack truck ... rest in peace dear Hilda , sleep well
