It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jackie Tait, at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, who provided the best of care in her last days. Beloved wife of the late William Tait. Dear mother of Ian (Cathy), Lynne, and Sharon (Michael). Special grandmother to Meghan (Alex), Sarah (Adam), Cameron (Jayme) and Kirk. Thrilled great grandmother to Riley, Elliot and Ernest. Jackie emigrated from England in 1948 embracing a new life in Canada. She trained as a teacher and librarian and worked for the Hamilton school board. Together with Bill, Jackie enjoyed Square Dancing, travel, cruising and going to the theatre. She was a regular bridge player and active Probus member. Meals out with friends and family were a great joy. Cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life to remember Jackie, for family and friends on Saturday 23 April at the Joseph Brant museum 2-4 p.m. 1240 North Shore Blvd. E Burlington, ON L7S 1C5. If desired, donations to Carpenter Hospice or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
