Jonathan ROWE Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the sudden passing of Jonathan Rowe on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Milton District Hospital. John leaves behind his loving wife Angela Belanger and his two beautiful children, Jacob Rowe (13) and Ashley Lynn Rowe (11). John will be greatly missed by his mother Alison Rowe (Long) and his father Gerald Rowe (predeceased), his sister Deborah Rowe and her husband Brian Gerstein and Nieces Julia and Emily. By his in-Laws Terry and Rosemary Belanger (Fougere), Sister-in-law Mandy Lynn Patrick (Belanger) and Andrew Patrick, and niece and nephew Makayla Lynn and Adam. John was loved by those that knew him; smiling and funny, an incredible wit, a passion for all sports and always ready to play a game of cards. He was a devoted husband and father, so very proud of his children. The very best of him will live on through them. John will live in our hearts forever. We love you. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society. A private ceremony will be held for immediate family. Letters of condolence, shared stories and memorial donations may be left for the family online at www.mckersie-kocher.ca

The Watson’s, Gord, Jennifer, Robert and Greg are greatly saddened by Jon’s passing. The Rowe family were neighbors and the youngest boys, Jon and Greg became fast friends, riding big wheels, lots of road hockey, to name a few. Jon’s big smile, laughter and happiness were a big part of our lives, Our heartfelt sympathy goes to his family.

When I coached Jacob's hockey team, I was looking for volunteers to help manage a bunch of 7-year-olds during team practices. John stepped up, despite a busy schedule of his own. He worked happily with all the players, always had a smile on his face, and his friendly, mild-mannered disposition put me and the players at ease with him immediately. I will always be grateful for his volunteerism and his attitude.

Watching John interact with Jacob in this forum also made it obvious how much he loved his children, and how seriously he took his responsibility to support their character development and personal growth.

I wish I had had the opportunity to get to know him more. My sincere condolences, as well of those of my family go out to all those who mourn his passing. May you find solace in each other during these difficult times.
