1929 - 2021

Good day Good day! That was Michele (Mike) Pirrocco's well known words. Mike came to Canada from Italy in 1957. First joining his brother John in Toronto then coming to Hamilton where he married his best friend of 60 years, Vincenzina Pirrocco. He retired from National Steel Car in 1991. Mike took pride in his garden and wine making. He enjoyed having company, walks and Sunday meals with his family and friends. Lots of laughs and reminiscing of the past. Mike's big heart and gentle soul were known by all who met him, he easily made friends. Always willing to help anyone. In fact he sponsored many people coming over from Italy. He gave them a home in his own home. He will forever be loved and cherished through countless memories we all have. His famous teasing, laughter and awesome personality. Mike was a dear Father to Carmelina Pirrocco Crawford and Stephen Wray Crawford. Carmelina loved just sitting and talking with Dad. Stephen loved taking Dad on Sundays to garage sales and breakfast pancakes at the Masons Hall. Mike leaves behind family and friends in Italy. His nephew Saverio Pirrocco and his family, brother in laws Angelo Vergalito and his family, Erminio DiPietro and his family and Edale Mario Vergalito and many friends and neighbours. The Road I traveled has not always been an easy one and the path was full of stones, but I am still here. I know the only reason I was able to make it this far, is that God was walking the road with me, every step of the way. Amen. See you on the other side. Due to current gathering restrictions, a private funeral with entombment has taken place.
