Monica SLESSOR Obituary
SLESSOR, Monica Sept. 08, 1925 - Nov. 10, 2018 Monica was born, raised and educated in Oakville. She was the second of four daughters, Sheila (Betty), Dorothy and Maureen to Clara and Charles Barnard. She attended the Dominion College and the Royal Conservatory of Music. In 1967, Monica married Ivan Slessor (Slessor Motors Milton). She was a caring stepmother to Bev and Connie. Loving grandmother to Kim's children and ""G.G. Aunt"" to Ethan. She also had a loving relationship with nieces, Debbie and Margo and nephews, Charles and Richard. Together, Monica and Ivan travelled the world and in their strong support of The Gideon's, Monica shared her musical talents for many years at Calvary Baptist and other Evangelical associations. Her greatest strength was her faith in Jesus Christ. She demonstrated her Christian ideals by her help to others and by sharing her faith in the Lord with those she met. It is because of her having accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior that when Monica closed her eyes for the last time here on earth, then opened them in the presence of her Lord, her entry into Heaven being announced with the words, """"Well done my good and faithful servant""
