Noble Dean Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden death of Noble Benjamin Hall Dean Jr. on November 1st, 2022, in his 72nd year.
Loving husband of 49 years to Brenda Elizabeth Dean (nee Russell).
An amazing father to Tesha (Adrian Owen), Kara & Brienen (Philip Smith).
Endearingly called Paparoo by "the kids", Kaidyn, Malachi, April & Eli (Owen), Talia & Liam (Dean-Auerbach), Serenity, Jonah, Ruth, Pipin and Fitz (Smith).
Dearly missed by his father Noble Dean Sr., sisters Debi Butler and Cindy Renaud.

Whether through his ministry with Knox Presbyterian, his social work at the Children Aid Society, and through his years at Trillium School, Noble role modelled for his kids and grandkids the importance of fighting for equity, anti-oppression, and social justice.
Noble loved nature and was at peace while on the water in a canoe or kayak. He shared his joy of camping, paddling, fishing, boating, and campfires with all those he held dear.
Noble was gifted with his hands he could create anything and loved the challenge of learning something new, be it stained glass, wood working, or all things home renovations, his skills were endless.

Friends and family are welcome to gather at the Dean house in Trenton for a Celebration of Life 1-5pm on Monday, November 7th.

What a great loss. I worked with Noble in the early-mid 1990s at the Children´s Aid Society (CAS) and really appreciated the way he worked. He was kind, down to earth, really cared about people, and went the extra mile to help. Noble cared a lot about fairness and social justice, he also brought a deep spiritual connection to his work, and when appropriate a great sense of humour (which was always appreciated). I lost touch with Noble when I left the agency in 1996 and often wondered how he was and what he was doing. Sad to hear of his passing-a loss to the world-he will be well remembered.
