Susan was a childhood friend. We grew up together on Stevenharris Dr. Susan moved away when we were 10 years old but our paths crossed many times over the years. Susan and I both raised our families in Oakville and would reconnect regularly. I had been thinking of Susan for a few months .. wanting to reach out and reconnect. I am so sorry I did not reach out sooner and now heartbroken I will not see her again. Susan was a kind soul always willing to help and support others. The world is a much lesser place without Susan. My heart goes out to Mary, Iain, Alex and Ethel on the loss of a beautiful mom and daughter. RIP Susan.

Susan was one of my childhood friends and I was both shocked and extremely saddened to read her obituary in the Globe and Mail. We lose touch as our roads are traveled and I hope she had a beautiful life. I am attaching a school photograph where I believe Susan is third from the right, front row in what I believe was our grade one class photo. I am on the farthest left. Please let me know when the Celebration of Life takes place as I would love to attend and here Susans journey. All the best to her family and loved ones. Su Penny.

I met Susan 53 years ago in our neighborhood when we were both ten years old. We used to sit on her front porch with ice tea after school discussing matters of importance we thought...school, boys, etc. We played tennis when time allowed. I used to say hi to her dad at the bus stop regularly before calling on her to walk to school. We spent time off of school after grade 13 working at the Banff Springs hotel in 1974. We lost touch for the next 38 years until we reconnected in Halton where I had lived for 25 years not knowing she was here. I always wanted to visit her again. After she retired she did not stay in touch for lunches but there must have been health issues I didn't know about. I thought perhaps she just needed her space and time after retiring.I was very saddened and shocked to see her picture in the OB's...I will always remember her as kind, gentle, caring for all of her family, very pretty and sweet. What a nice memory for a long time friend although out of touch for many years. So glad we could reconnect even though it was short. My sincere condolences to John and all of the family.

Susan was a huge influence in my early career and was always there with kind words and sage advice- I loved working with her at the CAS visitation centre...our day flew by and it never felt like work. Blessed to have her in my life and glad she was there to influence me in positive ways. We stayed connected for years after we stopped working together- always picking up where we left off like it was just a day ago. Its very sad to know youre gone...but youre in my heart forever dear friend.

Susan and I curled together at the BGCC and shared good conversation and much laughter. A gentle loving soul. I am truly saddened for you but know you will rejoice living with memories.

Dearest Susan
We knew each other for over 25 years. During that time of walking around Coronation Park, Bronte Harbor & just sitting on a patio I grew to know your gentle demeanor, strength, intelligence & love for your family.
I miss your voice, your laugh, your friendship. impromptu walks along the lake, going for coffee & getting together for pizza & wine.
But I know you & your sweet sister Barbara are experiencing inexpressible joy together now.
Miss you my friend
