Wendy Lake Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Wendy Lake, née Netzke, announces her passing at the age of 68. Wendy passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family, after a brave battle with cancer. She is survived by her daughter Samantha and son-in-law Mark, partner Graham, sister Valerie, brother David, stepdaughter Patti, stepson Stephen, and family. Wendy was known for her positive attitude and passion for life. She could often be found in her gardens or jetting off to somewhere exotic. Wendy will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. At her request, there will not be a funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Canadian Diabetes Association or The Canadian Cancer Society.

I just learned of Wendy´s passing. She used to come into our shop to have her car worked on. Last I saw her she still had a big smile on her face and was just enjoying her life. She will be missed very much by us all at Fairview Tire AutoPro in Burlington. Sending our love and condolences.

My mom was one of my best friends and someone I could talk to for hours or sit quietly and do a puzzle with or just laugh and have fun and do silly things. I’ll miss her more than I can put into words. She was the strongest and most positive person I know. I hope I can carry that with me, too. Love you, mom. Thanks for everything.
