Bernard "Bernie" LALANDE

With sadness the Lalande family announces that following courageous struggle through Alzheimer's, Bernie passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday evening, May 17, 2023. Bernard Omer Lalande of Constance Lake; formerly of Mechanicsville (Ottawa) was 79. Beloved husband for almost 58 years of Helene (nee Lachance). Much loved and proud Dad of the late Lynn (1992) and Marc Lalande and his wife Michelle of Arnprior.
Cherished Papa of Melanie. Dear brother of Georges Lalande and Gabrielle Skokos. Predeceased by his parents: Omer and Lorette Lalande as well as siblings: Robert "Bob" Lalande, Therese Bond, Claire Grenon, Patricia Cross and Pierrette Pinard. Fondly remembered by the Lachance family as well as his many nieces and nephews. Bernie's final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held on Wednesday morning, May 24th from 9 to 10:45 a.m. and where a Tribute to Bernie will follow in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o'clock. The service will be webcast live for those unable to attend. A luncheon will follow the service. Private family interment Notre Dame Cemetery, Ottawa at a later date.
